Cockatoo Island

Saturday was the first time Ben and I explored a little island in the Sydney Harbour. It was amazing. The name is Cockatoo Island and I was surprised how hip and young the events on that island were. The old buildings were beautifully coloured in graphiti, there was a break dance contest going on and visitors could visit a free art gallery. We met our friends in the Island Bar right next to the water. It was almost perfect, just the heat was missing. In the shade it felt quite cold and I was glad I had brought my jacket!
Still, it was a great evening and night that ended at Ruby Rabbit in Paddington. After 10 hours in my heels I slept like a baby, waking up to cold, rainy weather.
